Terms of Service

Terms for the Gather It public website and application, including account authority, records, and subscription responsibilities.

Effective October 21, 2026

Who operates Gather It

Gather It is operated by MyGatherIt LLC, a Texas limited liability company. mygatherit.com is our public product website, and mygatherit.app is the application. Contact info@mygatherit.com for questions about these terms or the service.

Purpose, account eligibility, and authority

Gather It is an educational-record organization, participation, and advocacy workflow service. You must provide accurate account information, be authorized to manage the family or student information you enter or share, and protect your credentials and authenticated sessions.

A parent or guardian who creates or controls a family workspace is responsible for deciding which students and invited people may access that workspace. A role label by itself does not give an attorney, advocate, student, educator, or other person access to a family record.

Not professional or official advice

Gather It does not provide legal, medical, clinical, diagnostic, financial, or educational advice and does not replace an attorney, clinician, evaluator, educator, school committee, or other qualified professional. Templates, reminders, reports, educational information, AI output, and workflow suggestions are organizational and participation aids that require user review.

Gather It is not the official school record and cannot compel a school, agency, provider, attorney, or other third party to take a particular action.

Your records, content, and responsibility

Families retain their rights in the records and content they provide. You grant Gather It only the limited permission necessary to host, process, organize, protect, export, and display that content to operate the service and the access you authorize.

You are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and appropriateness of information you add or share and for reviewing generated summaries, dates, reports, recommendations, extracted information, and proposed language before relying on or sending them. Do not upload or disclose content you are not authorized to possess or share.

Student Companion and invited professionals

Student Companion is parent-controlled. A verified Student identity must be assigned to the correct Student Profile and explicitly enabled before student access is provided. Student contributions do not silently overwrite the Parent record. See the Child & Student Privacy Notice.

Professional collaboration is limited to the student, categories, purpose, features, and duration authorized by the family. Families may change or revoke those permissions. Professional notes, proposals, messages, and exports remain subject to the active authorization boundary.

AI and automated assistance

AI-assisted output is advisory and may be wrong or incomplete. AI must not silently modify the authoritative Parent record, submit a school proposal, send a message, or make an educational or legal decision for a user. Review the AI Transparency & Human Review Notice before relying on AI-assisted workflows.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access another family’s records, bypass security or role controls, misuse invitations, probe for unauthorized data, disrupt service availability, upload malicious content, impersonate another person, scrape protected records, interfere with audit controls, or use Gather It to harass, deceive, exploit a child, or violate another person’s rights.

Connected providers and third-party services

Google Drive, authentication providers, email providers, payment providers, AI providers, and other connected services operate under their own terms and availability. Gather It may store authorized references, encrypted credentials, or operational identifiers needed for the connection, but provider availability, restrictions, and provider-owned original files remain subject to the provider and the account owner.

Service availability and beta accounts

Gather It may change, pause, repair, or limit features to protect records, correct defects, maintain the service, or respond to security or privacy risks.

Accounts issued under the Private Beta program remain subject to its no-charge terms. No payment method is required for beta access, and beta access does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. See the Private Beta Notice.

Subscriptions and billing

A paid subscription requires your express selection and authorization. Before you authorize a charge, the subscription offer must identify the price, billing interval, renewal and cancellation terms, applicable taxes, and any trial or promotional conditions. Viewing a plan or receiving an invitation does not authorize a payment.

Compare family and professional subscriptions on Plans & Pricing. The terms you accept for your subscription govern your paid access and any changes to that subscription. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for cancellation, renewal, refund, and usage-pack information. Paid subscriptions are not open yet; no charge is authorized merely by visiting this website.

Account access and termination

Gather It may suspend or remove application access for security, abuse, legal, or controlled-release reasons. Disabling or cancelling application access is distinct from deleting application data. Families can use authenticated Data Controls to submit applicable export, correction, or deletion requests. Provider-owned originals remain controlled in the provider account.

Gather It intellectual property

Gather It retains its rights in the application, branding, software, interface, templates created by Gather It, documentation, and other service materials, excluding user-owned records and content. Account access grants a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended educational-record and participation purposes; it does not transfer ownership of the service or authorize copying, reselling, reverse engineering, or republishing protected service materials except as permitted by law.

Service limitations

Gather It uses security, authorization, backup, recovery, and operational controls, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free output, or absolute security. Users should maintain access to important original records and independently verify information when a deadline, legal right, school decision, medical matter, or other high-impact action depends on it.

Policy changes and questions

Material changes receive a new policy version and may require renewed acknowledgment before continued use. Email info@mygatherit.com for questions, or use authenticated Feedback and Data Controls after sign-in for protected account requests. Review the Legal & Trust Center for the current notice set.
